Finish line

As October comes to a close, we are finishing our fourth and final BlogBoost challenge for 2024 - we did it! The next challenge will begin with the new year in January, so save the link!

Whether we posted daily, or just more regularly, we've all gained from the challenge.  It's always fun visiting each other's blogs, taking a kaleidoscopic peek into each other's worlds.

As this challenge ends, new opportunities beckon. Following our blog challange host Paul's tips, I plan to continue posting several times a week, and visiting other blogs.

Checking my stats, my most popular posts this month were about my Cherokee journey the Blog Roll, and prequel to my Reiki 1 class.  And ... the all 'round favorite, with 435 views, is FRONT DOOR

After teaching Reiki 1 last weekend, I committed to joining my students in doing self Reiki and supporting practices for 21 days. I plan to post practices and tips on my King's Touch Reiki blog. I listed a dozen topics

Mavis and walking stick

Meanwhile, I completed the little bat, Mavis, and tied her to my walking staff - I'm using it for our Hexendance at this afternoon's trick or treating!

And - Zella is all ready for the pet costume contest (the college students submit photos, and students, faculty and support staff cast their ballots  ..)

Zella in her sprout hat

She doesn't look much happier than Percy - but at least she's keeping it in! KK and her sweetie are dressing as Eva and WALL-E from the movie. I sent the 'extra' sprout hat home with my bonus granddaughter, so made Charizard a new one on green!

ᎦᎵᎾ (Galina) • Mavis • Charizard

One of their grade school teachers asked me to come and paint faces this morning, to match characters in the Wild Robot!

Robot 'Roz' teaches the class KK is interning in, Paige (who taught 4 of my grands) is Chitchat, the squirrel, and a third teacher, the goose, Bright Bill. So I was at the school a little after 7:30 with my Neocolor 2 crayons, brushes and a mirror!

I am thinking of wearing a blouse with embroidered flowers to our Hexendance, so mat paint flowers on my cheeks to match ...

Blessed Halloween, Dios de los Muertos and All souls ...

Do you dress up for Hallows?

Will you take a break, or keep blogging regularly?

  1. This is alice from the UBC. Thank you for sharing your stories with me. I have enjoyed reading them so much. I do plan on continuing to blog, but not every day. I will take a break from the Bearnacle stories for a little while because I do have other things awaiting me, including an art show at the local library for the month of December. See you in January!!!

  2. Hi, Alice!
I've enjoyed Reading Bearnacle's adventures - and yay on your upcoming art show!
It will be good to have a break from blogging daily - I also want to post regularly, but less frequently between challenges!
I look forward to reading about your show!

  3. I didn't wear a costume, but I did wear plenty of orange! I do have a few blog posts planned but am mostly going to take a break. Especially when we get to December. Have a wonderful holiday season!

    1. Orange is such a happy color!
I wore dark blue for our Hexendance, with a happy embroidered vest!
I'm looking forward to a wee break as well - as you say, especially in December. See you soon!
