Completion

 As January comes to a close, we are finishing our first blog challenge for 2025. It's been fun visiting each other's blogs, giving us a kaleidoscopic view of each other's worlds. New recipes, creations projects and inspires abound! 

As this challenge ends, new opportunities beckon. One SiStar blogger has even set up a Pinterest board, inviting us to post favorite articles! 

Emily, Mary, Josh n me

Yesterday my son and granddaughter Emily came to town and we had a quick and sweet visit! Emily turns 21 tomorrow, so i passed on her gift. We stopped by Mary's work for 'a hug' (in facilities, at our nearby Uni) 

In February I'm looking forward to our next space Reset (my Atelier/ Library and closets are next on the list!) and delving back into my ᏣᎳᎩ Studies. I'll be blogging about that journey again - stay tuned!

Connected

I am taking a couple of my friend Cindy's creative workshops, combining Soul Collage™ Mixed Media, and Intentional Creativity™! The first class is this afternoon, using those modalities to deepen with our Word of the Year, Crafting cards and journaling.

In the secondb, an 8 week class titled Creative Resilience, we'll gather weekly, identifying and using strengths to put our values into action.  

Cindy is co-host for my bimonthly creative circles, and recently completed Soul Collage™ facilitator's training. I love the joy and guidance Cindy belongs to creative projects. Years ago I was part of Anne Marie Bennett's KaleidoSoul group, and recently ordered one of her books, and plan to attend their online classes as well.

    My plan for February is to catch up on the things I have been postponing while I work on the Bog Challenge. I have booked a four day weekend to visit an interesting place and take some more picture for another blog challenge.

    You are so creative, Nadya. I love all your soulful, creative plans. My plans for February are to rest and move slowly through the month. January has been busy so I haven't been able to lean into wintering the way I intended. It's been great to see you this month!

Front door

 One of the simplest things you can do to welcome good fortune is spending a few minutes on your entrance and front door periodically!  My Purple Door Stand on your front walk, and look at your wall, porch and entrance Is the path clear and safe? (Opportunities flow) Is your address visible? (Can fortune find you?)  Greenery - are trees, shrubs and potted plants overgrown or in poor shape?  (Overgrown: too 'full' to receive more - dead branches or plants feel un-cared for) Is there clutter or trash? Is the porchlight in good working order? Doorbell? Does your door need a wash, or fresh coat of paint? If there's a mat, is it in good shape? Note anything that needs repaired, trimmed cleared or replaced.  When you're out and about, notice entrances and doors that appeal! Kitchen cosmetics

 I've been intrigued with homemade concoctions and  Kitchen cosmetics since my teens, and it's fun to watch my granddaughters experimentation with their own formulas!  My mom was sensitive to chemicals and fragrances, so kept her routines simple - she washed her hair with baby shampoo, and used skim milk (from powder) to set her hair in pin curls ! Her mama Mary worked with herbs, so my mom was supportive when I tried recipes from my American Girl magazine (facial stream using mint leaves, facial masks with oatmeal and honey ...)  In my 20s, my botanist hubby and I grew herbs, and with guidance from our books, I steeped nettles, horsetails, lavendar,  Rosemary and chamomile, for hair rinse, made facial masks, and drank herbal tisanes.
